Happy New Year!

Be Strong, Be Well — Friday, January 1, 2021

2020 has been a rough year, to say the least. We’ve grown weary of all the bad news. We don’t ever wish the days away, but we’ve been looking forward to an end of the pandemic, to masks, social distancing, conflicting reports, dishonesty, inconsiderate selfishness, and all the wrangling going on in Washington.

At the same time we’ve seen great caring people demonstrating wonderful acts of love, selfless giving, even risking their own health and well-being to help others. Don't lose hope. Much good is being done.

With hopeful eyes and a renewed concentration on God’s love and power, let’s think of the possibilities of this new year. Whatever it brings, we will make the best of it and rejoice in it. And never forget Jesus still saves and shepherds. We are still the sheep of His pasture.

“Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20, 21).

It is my hope and prayer you all will have a very Happy New Year! —Chris
