Reconnecting in Person
Be Strong, Be Well — Monday, June 1
We ended the month of May with a wonderful day of worship together. We had 57 to come out for our first day back after a long time. This was double the number of what we were expecting. Everyone was glad to see each other and reconnect with one another in-person.
The elders and I appreciate every kind and uplifting word spoken to us today. It helps us to keep focused on the work in a positive way.
Jim and Trudy Spratling and Paul Clark were able to say good-bye as they plan to head out on Monday. We pray for their safe travels. We also received word from Bobby and Barbara Williams who had planned to be with us. However, Barbara is having some troubles and stayed home to heal so they can leave for Montana on Thursday.
Please be praying for Steve Smith and Jason Fortney as both are Tampa police officers on the front lines of the rioting in that city.
I mentioned in the sermon about evangelism efforts through House to House; Heart to Heart brochure. Little did I know someone was with us from the neighborhood who had received a copy in the mail. Let’s continue to pray for all of our efforts to teach others about our Savior and theirs.
If you didn’t come today, we had you in our hearts and prayers. We hope to see you soon. —Chris
