Our Elders
Roger Fortney (left) has been with the River Road congregation since he moved his family to New Port Richey from Ohio in 1984. He served as an elder from 1992 to 2012. The eldership dissolved when one of our two elders resigned. Roger was appointed to serve once again in 2019.
Roger is a retired law enforcement officer. He served as a deputy with both the Pasco and Hernando County Sheriff’s Offices.
Roger and his wife Rita, a retired corrections officer, have two children: Mrs. Carrie (Ryan) Sturgis and
Jason (Olivia) Fortney. They have five grandchildren: Trevor, Sydney, Morgan, Landon, and Logan.
Robert Sneve (right) moved to New Port Richey from New Jersey where he served as a firefighter. He was baptized at River Road in 1993. For the past 28 years he has been a property manager for a large condominium complex.
Bob served as one of our deacons from 1997 to 2012. He was appointed as an elder in 2019. He has been the church treasurer since 2012.
Bob married Nancy Clark, an elder’s daughter. They have two daughters: Mrs. Chandra (Kevin) Micuch and Mrs. Danielle (Monte) Enyeart. They have four grandchildren: Carson, Alivia, Ethan and Lincoln.
